Ed Gutter is a freelance visual artist born and raised in Los Angeles. His talent for art was first recognized in second grade, where he began winning contests at an early age. One of his most notable achievements came in fifth grade, when he was awarded a grant through the San Gabriel Water District Art Contest.

By the late 1990s, his art took a new direction as he became immersed in graffiti culture and joined a graffiti crew. His skill and reputation opened doors to professional work, earning projects with companies such as Warner Bros., Big Red chewing gum, and independent recording labels.

Through firsthand exposure to multiple art forms—including stenciling and tattooing—Ed eventually transitioned into fine art. His work reflects raw, unfiltered narratives, often depicting the realities of impoverished and dangerous lifestyles.

Ed Gutter currently lives and works in West Whittier, California, where he continues to create art and develop his clothing line alongside a small circle of close collaborators. More is on the way.
